“Trees that are slow to grow bear the best fruit.”
Day by day, children experience the richness of slow living in an environment filled with nature treasures, simple elements of daily home life that encourage the child's imagination, practical work, love and reverence for nature while nourishing the senses and the goodness and richness of life.
Community, Nature, Farm and Forest and our sustainable living practices add a rich dimension to our program and are central to our model. Children innate wonder and deep appreciation for the natural world foster conservation and environmental stewardship, empathy, cooperation, habits of care and service, a sense of worthiness, compassion and kindness. Children connect to the land with a sense of love, reverence, dedication, wonder and gratitude for the earth and all that lives in it.
It is through active child-led play and exploration and positive interaction with their teachers, peers, a rich environment, and a caring community that children develop a solid foundation for future academic pursuits, gain invaluable skills for life, a lifelong love for learning and an internalized set of values that will guide them for life.
Roots daily, weekly, and seasonal activities are based on the rhythms of Nature, and the developmental needs of the children.

We receive young children from age three to eight years old. We firmly believe that the Early childhood years beyond preschool are fundamental in the life of any human being. This is the time when seeds for a lifelong love for learning, empathy, compassion, gratitude are planted. They will provide the foundation that every young child needs for self-confidence, resilience, and future academic excellence while enjoying the magic of childhood.
As a micro-school all our children move confidently and graciously in the same physical space carefully prepared for them, older children will be able to perform more challenging tasks according to their maturity, development and set of skills.
