Philosophy and Curriculum
We believe that a holistic educational approach which nourishes the children as a whole (Thinking, Feeling and Willing: three soul capacities of the human being) and mirrors the stages of a child's development is the key to becoming a well-rounded, independent, free thinking individuals.
Waldorf education develops children to have a strong sense of self worth, and an authentic interest in the world and humanity. These children are better capable of success in later academic pursuits. Waldorf students will find meaning and purpose in life through connection with a broader community, to the natural world and to humanitarian values bringing relevant contributions to the world. Children are worthy of respect, special care and worthy nurturing guidance during these tender and formative years. We strive to create a warm and nurturing environment where children can unfold at their own pace and without feeling rushed. Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able, of themselves, to impart purpose and direction to their lives. |
