LET'S REWILD
The Skills Building Series is a family-friendly monthly event exploring different aspects of nature awareness. Skills Building are a series of monthly events that bring together people of all ages and levels of experience to learn various skills and knowledge. These skills are geared toward strengthening our connections to the Earth in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way!
Modern life finds us completely dependent on a very fragile network of global connections and technologies. We have become disassociated from the people and the land where we live: our food comes from hundreds and thousands of miles away, we spend countless hours indoors, interacting with screens in human-created virtual worlds instead of the natural warm human connection reality that surrounds us. This has many negative effects on our physical and mental health for us and the generations to come!
Rosewood urgently works against this trend.
We have hosted community oriented workshop and activities since 2015. Bringing community awareness based on our connection with the earth are the backbone of our mission.
LOVE IS LOVE
We LOVE Mother Earth, we LOVE learning new skills to enhance our connections with nature, we LOVE all people!
This is an inclusive, safe space for people of all abilities and different walks of life to learn and share their abilities, passions, talents, gifts and what inspires them the most!
We are race-friendly, gender expression-friendly, age-friendly, family-friendly—just plain friendly!
What it matters is that when we come together we surround ourselves with people who are seeking to learn the same skills and same connection to others and absolutely LOVE nature. Here, we further our connections, make friends and create communities together.
It's free and open to the public.
Our Skills Building Monthly events will continue to take place in Charlotte-area (and surroundings) nature parks, moving to new and different locations each month.
These events are possible through generous donations from people who have the funds to make them possible. This program requires hours of planning and coordination . We do not charge for the Free Skills Series but gratefully accept donations from those who have the means to do so. Donations suggesting $10–$20 or whatever amount feels good to anyone able to donate.
Come join us and learn and grow with us!
We are seeking crafters, makers, teachers, and anyone who would love to help us out with our Free Skills Series and further our mission to REWILD as we create deep connection with nature. We need people who can helps us as greeters for new folks, assistants to teachers, teachers, and volunteers who can simply facilitate the program with us. If you are interested please fill out the form below. Thank you!
