COVID - 19 UPDATE
Because of our Covid-19 preventive guidelines and our very few spots still available, access to our school is very limited. All our school tours and parent interviews are scheduled once we receive and process an application along with an application fee and before you make your decision to enroll.
Families are welcome to apply once a parent Interest inquiry form is received.
After you have submitted a PARENT INQUIRY FORM, the school will schedule a school tour and a time to speak with you. School Tours and parent meeting will ensure that our school’s philosophy and values align with that of your family. This visit is not required but encouraged.
Families are welcome to apply after submitting a parent inquiry form. Once spots are filled you will be placed in a waiting list after your application and application fee payment is processed and placement becomes available.
Acceptance to Rosewood Nature School - Roots program
DOESN'T exclusively follow "a first come, first serve" approach.
Acceptance is based on aligned interests and philosophy. It's also based on the school’s ability to meet each child’s physical, mental, emotional and other important developmental needs based on what the school currently offers as a program (infrastructure/organization) and according to our pedagogy; the child’s developmental, social and learning potential to function harmoniously within the class and within the group; the family’s willingness to work with the teachers/school to support the well-being of the individual child, while also bearing in mind the needs of all the children within the group; and to support Waldorf education and sustainable approach by providing a healthy and nurturing environment at home.
We also rely on previous school records if applicable, any testing and evaluations that already have been done (e.g children with special needs) a face-to-face meeting, and preschool-level readiness. Status of toilet independence is also considered.

Each student is granted all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to all students. Furthermore, Rosewood Nature School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, or ethnic origin, sexual orientation or gender preferences in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies or other school-administrated programs. Regarding other specifications that are not mentioned in this admittance policy Rosewood Nature School reserves the right of Admission.
We believe that the healing power of Nature and the holistic approach of our educational philosophy is beneficial to ALL children. We also believe that, although; certain learning differences don’t show up as challenging in other type of schools settings, a student who needs constant supervision and redirection, has communication challenges and need of individualized attention due to their special needs (mental, emotional, physical, language, behavioral etc), our school setting, philosophy and organizational structure are probably not a good fit. Rosewood Nature School is not structured, staffed, equipped or funded to offer that kind of specialized service. However, If you have any questions about your child being able to participate in any of our program, please contact us first. We are always open to communication and collaboration with parents. The final decision is made solely by the school and on a case-by-case basis".
